Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium marinara sauce
  • 1 20 oz package of high-protein ravioli (chicken or spinach preferred)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 scoop unflavored whey protein blended into cheese mix
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Brown the meat: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add turkey, and season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until no longer pink.
  2. Prepare cheese layer: In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and (optional) whey protein until smooth.
  3. Layer in the crockpot:
  4. Add a thin layer of sauce.
  5. Layer ravioli, turkey, cheese mix, mozzarella, and sauce.
  6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  7. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2.5 hours.
  8. Rest and serve: Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing. Top with basil and a sprinkle of mozzarella if desired.
